Uri M. Mintz, M.D., LSO associate, attended medical school at Austria's Vienna University and Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, his birthplace. Dr. Mintz completed his residency at the Beilinson University Hospital in Israel, where he went on to serve as chief physician of its medical oncology department (1974-1976). He was a research fellow in the genetics department at the Weizman Institute of Science, Tel Aviv, and was a clinical fellow and instructor at the University of Chicago Cancer Research Center (1976-1979). Dr. Mintz was an attending physician in the medical oncology division of Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, (1979-1997) and was a partner and officer of Medical Oncology Associates in Beachwood, Ohio. (1979-1997; president, 1997-1999).
