Clinical trials are a kind of research study to determine if a new drug or treatment will work on a disease. Further, trials allow doctors to gain information about the benefits, side effects and possible uses of new drugs as well as different combinations, doses, and new indications for existing drugs. Trials are also used to help patients better tolerate various treatments.

Participating in a study is entirely voluntary. While no benefit or cure can be a guarantee, participating in studies is an option that might allow the participant to receive the most “cutting edge” treatment, and may serve, in the broader sense, to help people with cancer in the future.

Lone Star Oncology participates in numerous clinical trials or “protocols”. Our medical team is dedicated to bringing patients the most advanced treatments and opportunities available. Our dedication far exceeds our in-house trials. We will work tirelessly to find the appropriate treatments for our patients.
